Emphasis in Natural Sciences, Associate in Arts
The Emphasis in Natural Sciences is designed to develop a broad base of knowledge and skills that will serve as a foundation for further study and/or pursuit of a career. Students complete a series of courses in the disciplines of Astronomy, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Electron Microscopy, Mathematics, Natural Resources, Physical Anthropology, Physical Education, Physical Geography, Physical Science, and/or Physics.
Minimum Units Required: 60
Complete one of the following general education patterns:
- San Joaquin Delta College Associate degree General Education Pattern
- California State University General Education pattern
- Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum - CSU Version
Complete a minimum of 18 units from one segment; or complete 18 units by selecting 9-15 units from one segment and an additional 3-9 units from any of the related segments listed below.
