READING 094A - Critical Reading for College English - Units 3

This course is designed to help students improve their critical reading skills in preparation for college-level English. Particular emphasis is placed on preparing students for the reading component of English 1A. Students will be introduced to multiple critical reading strategies through readings in fiction, academic essays, and rhetorical prose. Successful completion of Reading 94A satisfies the Level III reading prerequisite for English 1A. Reading 94A and English 1A may be taken concurrently.
