FCS 015F - Introduction to Fashion Design - Units 1

This topic course is designed to increase the student's understanding of apparel design development from concept through production. Principles and elements of design are explored as well as the major steps in developing a clothing line. Topics include: researching fashion trends, selecting designs, styling, costing, and construction. As a result of class assignments and experiences, the student gains knowledge of the role of a fashion designer and information regarding career opportunities in the industry.
