E TECH 081 - GPS Surveying Applications - Units 3

Advisories: MATH-080 ENGR-010 or E TECH-080 each with a grade of "C" or better.

This course is an application oriented introduction to the Global Positioning System (GPS) as utilized in land surveying. Topics studied include the components of GPS technology, GPS observables, planning for GPS field surveys, GPS surveying techniques and data processing. A set of field surveys is performed using the GPS equipment as part of the laboratory activities.
