E TECH 045 - Practical Machine Design - Units 3

Prerequisites: E TECH 012 Computer-Aided Drafting each with a grade of "C" or better and MECH 015 Machine Tool Process each with a grade of "C" or better.

This course is an introduction to basic machine problems. Course projects encompass engineering design fabrication, computer-aided drafting, manufacturing processes, and dimension verification and inspection. Topics covered include machine design, manufacturing systems and fabrication processes, machine drafting and tolerancing, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. (CSU)
