COM ST 005 - Argumentation and Debate - Units 3

Prerequisite Skills: 1. Advisory: Reading level II.

This course is a study of the theory, methods and application of the principles of persuasion, argumentation, and application of the principles of argumentation and debate including the analysis of propositions, issues, evidence and reasoning through debate, persuasive writing and speaking. The course is written to apply as a critical thinking course where the students write 6000 to 8000 words or reasoned and logical persuasive papers on a variety of topics to fulfill UC, CSU requirements.
