AUTO 070F - On Board Diagnostics II Update Training Course - Units 1.5

Advisories: For those students who choose to receive the certification the Advanced Emission Specialist (EA) licensed Technician; advanced level student, or Journeyman level technician must meet the California Department of Consumer Affairs/Bureau of Automotive Repair requirements prior to entry into the course, and successfully attend all classes and attain a satisfactory score on the final examination.

This course is designed to meet the California State requirements for the Department of Consumer Affairs/Bureau of Automotive Repair (DCA/BAR), On Board Diagnostics II Update Training Course. This course is required for the Advanced Emission Specialist (EA) licensed Technician, Advanced level student, or Journeyman level technician, who needs to certify for license application or renewal. The student who enrolls in this course must meet the DCA/BAR prerequisite guidelines before entering the course in order to receive an Update certification. The course is designed to update the advanced level technician to test and repair vehicles that are equipped with the On Board Diagnostic II compliant engine management system. The technician receives certification upon successful completion of the course.
