BIM 007A - MS Word: Beginning Concepts and Applications - Units 3

Prerequisite Skills: 1. Reading Level II.

This course is designed to introduce MS Word, a word processing software application. Students use the program to handle standard documents found in typical business offices. Instruction includes the theory and skills needed to create, save, retrieve, edit, and print documents. Sample topics cover using electronic writing tools such as the spelling and grammar checker, and the thesaurus; changing character, paragraph, and document defaults; creating headers, footers, envelopes, and labels; and handling automated features such as autotext, pagination and numbering, or find and replace.
