This course is designed to introduce the student to the anatomy and physiology of farm animal reproduction and the basic principles of genetics and their application to livestock production. Gestation, parturition, lactation, artificial insemination, embryo transfer, inheritance, breeding systems, production testing, and selection for breeding are included. (CSU)
