EOPS Summer Readiness Program

The EOPS Summer Readiness Program is a six-week summer program designed for first time college students who are eligible for EOPS. The program is designed to promote academic and personal growth, as well as offer an orientation to San Joaquin Delta College and four year university transfer information. To be eligible for the Summer Readiness Program students must be:

• A California Resident;
• Eligible for the Board of Governors (BOG) Grant B;
• 18 years of age, or possess a high diploma or GED prior to enrollment in the program;
• A College student with fewer than 12 units of college units after high school; and,
• Intend to enroll as a full time student in the following Fall Semester.

Students will learn to improve their self-awareness and interpersonal skills. They will explore career options, Delta College certificate, A.A./A.S., and four year universities transfer options through UC and CSU field trips. They will develop a Student Education Plan and learn about campus resources. In addition they will receive an EOPS cash grant and free text books and school supplies.
