Gary Barlow begins his eighth season at the helm of Mustang Football. Since assuming the reins as Head Coach in 2001, Coach Barlow has led the program to a 41-23 combined record, program ranked #7 nationally by J.C. Gridwire and #2 in Northern California, 20-11 in conference, conference champions twice in five seasons, 2001 Shrine Bowl Champions, 2004 Holiday Bowl Champions, signed 66 student-athletes to full ride scholarship and have had 75 athletes make Academic All-Conference.

A Tracy High School product, Coach Barlow's playing career includes stints at the University of Wyoming (1985-86), Delta College (1987) and the University of the Pacific (1988-89). Following graduation from UOP, Coach Barlow was signed by the NFL's New York giants. He finished his playing days as a member of the Barcelona Dragons of the World Football League.
