Cross Country (Men and Women)
Coach King inherits a quality program from former Community College Hall of Famer Raydell Barkley. Coach King assisted Coach Barkley in Cross Country for two years. During that time the men's and women's cross country teams were in the top five in Northern California and placed in the top 15 in the California Community College State Championships.
Coach King earned his BA from Humboldt State University in 1983 and his Masters Degree in 1987. He is a certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He has served as the State Director for the National Strength & Conditioning Association. His knowledge in strength and conditioning has had an impact on the numerous teams and athletes he has coached. His knowledge and experience has afforded him the opportunity to speak at two national conferences in Philadelphia and Las Vegas. His modalities and training programs enabled him to write numerous articles in scientific journals. His theories have proven to be effective and are now used worldwide. Coach King has four children and one grandchild.
