Fire Academy

San Joaquin Delta College Firefighter I Academy is certified by the California State Fire Marshal to present a 400 hour basic course to pre-service students who qualify for admission to the program. Students earn nine and three tenths units for successful completion of this semester course. The course is designed to train individuals who plan to pursue a career in fire fighting.

This unique 16-hour per week program is presented in an extended format. Classes meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and all day on Saturday.
