GUID 040 - Peer Advisor Training - Units 1

This course is designed to train the peer advisor and to provide the knowledge and skills to interact and communicate effectively with targeted student populations. The student develops helping skills that include active listening, basic problem-solving, completion of college forms, and appropriate referral to campus support offices. This course is designed for the student who is employed as a peer advisor/student employee at the college. May be repeated for a maximum of two units. (CSU)
