GRART 005A - Introduction to Two-Dimensional (2D) Animation - Units 3

The class is the introductory level study of concepts and techniques utilized in the aesthetic development, design and implementation of traditional hand-drawn animated film-making. The topics will include the history of animation, story theory for animation, storyboarding, character and background layout, camera fielding, basic animation timing and utilization of software to shoot and paint finished animation and animatics. The student will create a short finished piece of animation by the end of this course. (CSU)
