Academic History

An Academic History is an unofficial document of courses taken showing the final grades, degrees, and certificates received from San Joaquin Delta College. The Academic History does not bear the seal of the college or the signature of the designated college official.

 Official Transcripts

A Transcript is an official document of courses taken showing the final grades, degrees, and certificates received from San Joaquin Delta College. Grades from other schools are not reflected on an official Delta College transcript. Official transcripts bear the seal of the college and the signature of the designated college official.

Requests for verification of grade-point-averages, previous term enrollment, degrees, certificates, and graduation information are fulfilled through request of an official transcript. This type of information is commonly requested by insurance carriers, prospective employers, etc.

Verification of Enrollment

A verification of Enrollment is a certificate provided to the student showing the enrollment status for the current semester. Enrollment status is defined as full-time, three-quarters time, half-time, or less than half time. Verification of Enrollment are commonly requested by insurance or child care providers, employers, etc.

Transcripts

Important Information Concerning Transcript Ordering

  • All outstanding fees must be paid and all administrative or academic holds that prohibit access to student records must be cleared before requesting a transcript. To check fees and hold status, log into Student Records .
  • Transcripts requests are not held for posting of grades, degrees, or certificates. Therefore, if a student wishes to request a transcript that shows a degree or certificate, or final grades for a specific semester, it is the student's responsibility to ensure that this information has been posted before requesting a transcript. Final grades can be checked by logging into Student Records and viewing the academic history. Students are notified at the student's Delta College e-mail address when degree(s) and/or certificate(s) have been posted.
  • Students are entitled to receive two free transcripts only if requested by mail or in person. Free transcripts are only allowed once.
  • Regular transcript requests require 3 - 5 working days to process. At the end of a semester, additional time may be required.
  • Rush Transcripts are processed by 4:00 p.m. the next business day after receipt.
  • Checks or money orders should be made payable to: Delta College. Credit card payment is not available for Mail or In Person Requests. However, credit cards(Visa or Mastercard) are accepted for internet transcript requests ONLY.
  • Transcripts are mailed first class to the address provided by the student.
  • A courtesy e-mail is sent to the students with a Delta College student e-mail address when the transcript request is completed.
  • The Admissions & Records Office does not accept phone or fax requests.
The following options are available for ordering transcripts:

Option #1:

Internet Processing

Delta College has retained the Student Clearinghouse, Inc. to accept Online Transcript requests through their secured site for students whose grades are from Spring 1983 - Present. Students with grades from Pre-1983 must use Option #2 (See Below).

  • Internet Requests = $7.25 per copy ($5.00 transcript fee + $2.25 processing fee)

Advantages of using online services include:

  • Fastest Service - Students ordering over the Internet service receive the fastest transcript service possible. Transcript requests are completed the next business day after Delta College receives the order from the Student Clearinghouse.
  • 24/7 - Allows order placement 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
  • No Hassle - No need to fill out request forms; no need to mail anything.
  • IGETC/CSU Certification - Can request general education certification free of charge to be mailed with transcript to transfer college or university.
  • Status Check - Can check the status of a transcript request at any time (24/7)
  • Credit Card Payment - Credit cards are accepted for transcript payment.

Option #2:

In Person or by Mail

To request a Transcript in person or by mail, the student must complete the Transcript Request Form and pay the applicable fee.

  • Complete the Transcript Request Form. If you are requesting transcripts to be sent to multiple addresses, you must submit separate Transcript Request Forms for each "Sent to" address. Failure to do so, may result in a delay in processing.
  • Pay the applicable fee by check or money order. Therefore, the applicable fee must be submitted with the request.
  • Transcripts are $5.00 per copy for in person or mail request.
  • Rush transcripts are $10.00 per copy and are processed by 4:00 p.m. the
    following business day.
  • Submit the request form and payment:
    • In Person - Admissions & Records service window located in the DeRicco Student Services Building. Monday-Thursday 9am-4pm, closed Friday.

Verification of Enrollment

During campus closures, orders that are received during the closure period
will be processed in the order received when campus reopens.

Important Information Concerning Enrollment Verification Ordering

  • Grade-point-averages, previous terms, degrees, certificates, and graduation information are not included on a Verification of Enrollment. For this information, an official transcript must be requested.

To request a Verification of Enrollment in person or by mail, the student must complete the Verification of Enrollment request form and pay the applicable fee.

  • Pay the applicable fee by check or money order. Verifications on Delta College forms are $5.00 per copy. Verifications requiring special forms completion are $10.00 per copy.

Processing of Fees for Verification of Enrollment by the Admissions & Records Office

  • Regular Verifications of Enrollment requests require 5 - 7 working days to process. Prior to the beginning and during the first two weeks of each term, additional time may be required.
  • The first two (2) Verifications of Enrollment produced by the Admissions & Records Office are provided free of cost.
  • Verifications of Enrollment consist of a certificate printed by the Admissions & Records Office at a cost of $5.00 per copy. Special handling, i.e. individualized forms, etc. are provided at $10.00 each.
  • Checks or money orders should be made payable to: Delta College. Credit card payment is not available.
  • Verifications are provided to the student as follows:
    • Mailed if the student provides a self-addressed, stamped envelope with a request.
    • Picked up in 5 - 10 working days after the date submitted. Picture identification is required for in-person pick up.
    • A courtesy e-mail is sent to the students with a Delta College student e-mail address when the verification request is completed.
