Education: BA, Mount Holyoke College; MSci, The Johns Hopkins University; EdD, University of San Francisco. I Moved to Lodi in 2008 after retiring as Superintendent of Reef-Sunset Unified School District, Avenal, CA. Founder (1987) and current board president of the Coalinga-Huron-Avenal House at Berkeley. The Coalinga-Huron-Avenal House is a summer residence for college-bound students from the Central Valley. I’m an amateur musician who is enrolled in SJDC music classes. I’m married with two children and five grandchildren. I love living in Lodi!

As current Citizens’ Oversight Committee member, my responsibility is to make certain that the committee reviews Measure L expenditures after they are made, informs the public, and reports to the Board of Trustees annually, all of which are required by Proposition 39. In addition, I encourage thoughtful ideas from the committee members in order to make our work clear to all members of the SJDC community.
