Welcome to the Guidance and Counseling website!

Our staff is responsible for providing high quality educational planning support to Delta College students through our counseling services and guidance instructional program.  Counseling services are not required.  Enrollment in guidance classes is also not required.  However, research on the characteristics of successful students in higher education consistently shows that students who use an organized plan in pursuing their educational and career goals tend to succeed at higher rates.  It makes sense when you think about it!

Our counselors are here to help you develop an educational plan that works for you – that lines up with your career and life planning goals.  Not sure about your career and life planning goals?  Not a problem.  We can help with that too.   Please do take advantage of this very important service.

See below for information on our office hours.  Allow lots of time during our busy weeks (registration periods).  Also, if you think that your question is pretty straightforward, don’t hesitate to use our Ask a Question service.  This e-advising program may save you some time. Just click on the Ask a Question  Online link above.

Have a great semester at San Joaquin Delta College!
