Delta College recently received a grant that allows us to offer short term drop-in child care services to students who need to conduct business in the following offices:

• Admissions & Records Office
• Assessment Center
• Americorps
• Bookstore
• CalWorks
• Career/Transfer Center
• Electronic Enrollment Services Lab
• EOPS Office
• Financial Aid & Veteran Services Office
• GED
• Guidance & Counseling Office
• LD Testing
• Work Experience Program

Drop-in child care is free for Delta students conducting business on campus in the offices listed above.

Child Development Center Hours:    

Summer Session	Times
Monday through Thursday Friday	7:00 am - 5:30 pm   7:00 am - 2:00 pm

Drop-in child care is dependent on licensed space availability in each classroom.  It is advisable that you call the center at (209) 954-5700 when making your appontment. 

Drop-in child care is not available for emergency child care, for students who are regularly attending classes or for children that are in need of care during off-track time or scheduled class times.

There will be no Drop in Care from 12:30 PM through 2:30 PM.  These hours are dedicated to rest or nap time.

The Child Development Center is closed on all campus holidays.

How can I use this service?

To use the drop-in child care service:

1. Obtain and complete an application for drop-in child care.  Applications are available in the following locations:

• One of the Service Offices listed above
2. The Service Office will contact the Child Development Center to let the office know that you will be needing assistance.
3. Heather Wright, at the Child Development Center, may be contacted at (209) 954-5700 to answer questions or make arrangements for child care.
4. Turn the completed application with a copy of a valid photo I.D.into the Child Development Center at least one half (1/2) hour in advance of your service appointment so that you can help your child get settled into the classroom.
5. During drop in child care the parent or guardian must be on campus.

The application will be good for an entire year (July through the following June).  For more information, go to any of the offices listed above and ask about "Child Development Center Services".

How old can the child be to use this service?

The Child Development Center serves children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age.
